Ideal for creating a parallel system, our 000AWG Battery Linking Cables can be used to increase the capacity of your battery setup.
The cables are sized at 85mm2 meaning that they’re ideal for even larger setups and come in a 300mm length. Coming complete with pre-crimped M8 ring terminals, they’re an easy DIY install.
What is a parallel battery connection?
This configuration allows you to pair two or more batteries together to increase the overall capacity of your battery system.
Before setting up your parallel battery system, ensure that the batteries used in the system are fully charged, the same age and size, and are fit for parallel setups (refer to your battery’s user guide).
The batteries can be linked in parallel simply by placing the batteries side by side and then connecting the positive terminals of each battery with the red lead, and then the negative terminals with the black lead.
The batteries will now effectively work together as one system. For example, if you have connected 2x 100Ah LiFePO4 Batteries, the system will act as one 200Ah system.
To charge/discharge a parallel battery system, simply connect your red lead to the positive terminal on the first battery in the system and the black lead on the negative terminal on the last battery in the system.
